      The need for national research institution to perform standardization

          research on information communication based on the conception of

          open system interconnection

      The need for setting up standardization system and standard of national

         level to cope with the requirement of opening domestic communications

         market from advanced nations

   Time of establishment

     SRC was founded in September,1989

         SRC : Standards Research Center

         Researching standardization system of information communication

          and developing technology standard

         Developing core protocol, researching testing technology and

           certification system  

         Performing works relating to information communication

          standardization including the research of technical regulation

     Currently, SRC mostly performs the research on technology standard

       and technical regulation
